EDU Archives PERM — permanent recruitment, done properly.
Permanent hires deserve more than a CV pile. EDU Archives PERM is our end-to-end permanent recruitment service: scoping, advertising, longlisting, shortlisting, references and pre-employment — with a transparent success-fee model, a free replacement guarantee, and consultants who actually know West Midlands schools.

What we offer
What EDU Archives PERM includes
Vacancy scoping
A 30-minute briefing call to define role, ethos, must-haves and deal-breakers.
Advertising & sourcing
Direct headhunting, network outreach and platform advertising — proportionate to the role.
Longlisting
We screen, interview and present a longlist with clear strengths and trade-offs.
Shortlist & interview support
We help structure interview days, lesson observations and panel scoring rubrics.
References & pre-employment
Two written references, qualification verification, enhanced DBS — fully SCR-ready.
Onboarding handover
We share a one-page handover note for your induction lead — what motivates them, where they need support.
How fees work
Permanent placements are charged as a percentage of first-year salary, agreed in writing before any search begins. We never apply hidden mark-ups or surprise fees, and the headline rate is the rate.
Replacement guarantee: if your placement leaves within the agreed period (typically 12 weeks), we run a replacement search at no further cost. We don't apply punitive clawback clauses or retainer-on-failure conditions.
FAQs
Common questions
Do you charge any upfront fee?
No upfront fee for standard searches. For executive/headship-level retained search we discuss fees up-front in writing.
How long does a typical search take?
From brief to signed offer: 4–8 weeks for most teaching and TA roles, 6–10 weeks for leadership. Shortage subjects (e.g. KS4 maths or physics) can take longer — we'll be honest about timelines on the briefing call.
Can we use temp-to-perm?
Yes, and we structure it transparently. Conversion fees taper across the placement period and are disclosed in writing up-front.
Ready to talk?
Tell us about your school, your child, or your career — we'll come back the same working day.
