For schools · SEND

SEND staffing that’s a specialism, not a sideline.

We staff SEND schools, resource bases and inclusive mainstream settings across the West Midlands with specialist teachers, HLTAs, TAs and support staff — matched on specific need, not just availability. Our SEND consultants spend time understanding your provision and propose people we'd want supporting our own children.

  • Specialism by need

Autism specialists for autism, SEMH for SEMH, PMLD for PMLD — not generalists with one CPD course.

  • Trauma-informed

Many of our SEND staff are trained in trauma-informed and attachment-aware practice.

  • EHCP-aware

Candidates understand provision plans, outcomes and the language of EHCPs.

  • 1:1 support

Vetted 1:1 TAs for individual EHCP plans — including high-needs and PMLD support.

  • Long-term continuity

We push for long-term placements where possible — relationships matter in SEND.

  • Inclusive mainstream

We support resource bases, ARPs and inclusion teams in mainstream schools too.

What we offer

SEND specialisms we cover

  • Autism (ASD)

Specialist teachers and support staff for autism resource bases and ASD-specific schools.

  • ADHD

Practitioners trained in high-engagement, scaffolded teaching for ADHD learners.

  • SEMH

Social, emotional and mental health specialists for SEMH provisions and pupil referral units.

  • MLD / SLD

Moderate to severe learning difficulties specialists for special schools.

  • PMLD

Profound and multiple learning difficulties — sensory, communication-led practitioners.

  • Behaviour & inclusion

Inclusion managers, behaviour leads and pastoral support for mainstream and SEND.

  • 1:1 EHCP support

Trained TAs to deliver 1:1 EHCP provision in mainstream and special settings.

  • Speech & language support

Practitioners trained to support SLT-led provision in SEND classrooms.

How we vet SEND specialists

SEND vetting goes beyond the standard pre-employment checks. We assess each candidate's specific specialism — and we don't put forward people whose only SEND experience is one term in a resource base. Where claimed experience is essential to the role, we verify it directly with previous schools.

  • Enhanced DBS with children's barred list
  • KCSiE 2024 Part One training
  • Specialism-specific reference verification
  • Behaviour management and de-escalation training
  • Trauma-informed / attachment-aware training (where relevant)
  • Manual handling and intimate care training (where relevant)
  • Annual safeguarding refresh
