Common questions
Is KS3 tutoring really necessary?
It depends. Plenty of students are absolutely fine without tutoring at KS3. Tutoring helps if (a) your child is struggling with a subject, (b) they've come from a smaller primary into a larger secondary, (c) they're ahead and need stretch, or (d) you want to build study habits early.
How is KS3 tutoring different from GCSE tutoring?
KS3 is more about foundations and habits. We're not yet drilling spec content — we're making sure your child can read for meaning, write a clear paragraph, manipulate algebra, and study independently. That's what GCSE rewards.
Should we wait until Year 10?
Many families do — and that's fine. But the cost of a Year 9 catch-up is much lower than a Year 11 panic. If a subject feels off-track, earlier is better.
